La Canción Despierta will be a musical journey through the Puerto Rican song of yesterday and today.
In celebration of our signature music, the voices of Ale Croatto, Fabiola Méndez, Abraham Dorta, Mahya Veray, Cheryl Rivera and Walter Morciglio will be protagonists and responsible for this call.
As if that were not enough, this group will also have the special participation of Tito Auger, Zoraida Santiago, Hermes Croatto and Eduardo Alegría.
The event, in its entirety, will benefit the Hogar del Buen Pastor. This magical meeting will take place on July 30 and 31, 2022 at the Braulio Castillo Theater in Bayamón.
The Hogar del Buen Pastor is a non-profit organization, based in Puerta de Tierra, dedicated to the homeless. Those who need it find in the [HBP] a transitional home and an environment conducive to rehabilitating, educating, and developing emotionally, physically, spiritually, mentally, and socially. In this way, those who enter the [HBP] acquire the tools they need to finally successfully rejoin society.
La Canción Despierta is a necessary celebration of Puerto Rican popular song. That night we will joyfully sing our melodies and stories.
This unique adventure is under the creative production of Walter Morciglio and La Casa Amarilla. In addition, it will have the musical direction of master Abraham Dorta. Likewise, a unique band will be assembled for this celebration with outstanding musicians from the scene: Frido Vargas, Abdiel Serrano, Etienne Rivera, Yabey Marcano and ILÉN.
